Construction/Real Estate Project Manager

A top company in San Antonio is seeking a Construction/Real Estate Project Manager to join their team for a six month engagement with possible extensions. This position is onsite in San Antonio.

Job Details:

-Accountable for sustaining the construction and renovation initiatives associated with Real Estate & Master Planning.
-Work closely with executives, stakeholders, contractors, vendors and end users to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, with full scope, and according to established project management practices and procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

-Analyzes strategic and tactical direction through project/program lifecycle to determine processes, contingencies and sequences of events required to complete construction projects as designed, on time and within budget.
-Guides project teams, internal customers, process management teams, and senior leadership to facilitate effective planning and oversight of projects.
-Establishes collaborative and strong relationships with operational leaders and decision makers throughout the organization and contractors/vendors to ensure excellent planning and execution.
-Develops and manages program/project contracts from creation through implementation and performance evaluation.
-Serve as primary point of contact between business area end users and Supply Chain.
-Monitors milestones and deliverables to ensure timely delivery. Identify issues and opportunities.
-Lead problem-solving sessions. Continuously evaluates processes and practices for process improvement opportunities and documentation of lessons learned.
-Fully documents all program/project activity for auditing and reporting purposes.
-Communicates effectively with internal customers at all levels within the CPS Energy organization and external project stakeholders.
-Manages project deliverables within established timeframes and milestones, including satisfaction of scope requirements, cost/budget adherence, schedule management, contract development, risk evaluation/mitigation, and quality management. Ensures program/projects meet expectations regarding schedule, budget, scope and quality through metrics and performance assessment. Leads multiple, cross-functional projects and initiatives. Develops and submits business cases for programs, projects and contracts. Develops solutions to critical business issues and presents alternatives to senior management. May coordinate field activities as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required:

-Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management OR equivalent years of relevant field work experience.
-Understanding of project management processes, practices and procedures applicable to facility construction and renovation.
-Understanding of contracting processes from initiation to close-out.
-Experience developing reports from various databases.
-Strong written and oral communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
